Our Story

"CocoaCumin started in the middle of everyday life not in a big plan, but in small, quiet moments in my kitchen."

Cooking has always been my comfort. On busy days, stressful days, or just long days with little kids running around, I would find myself coming back to it. It was the one thing that helped me slow down and feel like myself again.

At the same time, I always had this thought in the back of my mind what if I could build something of my own?

I didn't know exactly what that looked like yet.

When I started baking, it wasn't for a business. It was just for fun something to do at home, something to share. I began making cakes for friends and family, and their reactions meant everything to me. Seeing people genuinely enjoy something I made that feeling stayed with me.

In 2021, I decided to take a chance and turn that small beginning into something real.

"Eggless should never mean less."

Stacked cookies with chopped nuts and green pistachios on a light green background, with text 'CocoaCumin San Jose California' at the top.

As I kept baking, I found myself drawn more and more to cookies especially those thick, bakery-style ones you break open and see that soft, gooey center. But there was one problem. As someone who is vegetarian and doesn't eat eggs, I could never quite find that same experience in an eggless version.

So I started experimenting.

There were a lot of trial batches, a lot of small tweaks, and honestly, a lot of moments where things didn't turn out the way I hoped. But I kept going because I knew exactly what I was trying to create.

And then one batch just worked.

The texture, the richness, the way it felt when you broke it open it was everything I had been looking for. That moment changed everything.

What started as baking to relax slowly became something I cared deeply about. Something I wanted to share beyond just my home. That's how CocoaCumin came to life.

Today, every cookie I make still comes from that same place a love for baking, a need for something comforting, and the belief that eggless should never mean less.

This isn't just a business I started. It's something I built, one batch at a time.
